Ive been using (and updating) 8.04 since beta, and everything works fine, but as of the last 6 or 8 days, I have gotten no updates showin in the update manager. I assumed this is related to the release of 8.04, but I dont even have the upgrade option shown. Any ideas?
Thanks

beta goes straight to final when you do updates
i was just about to post this, though
ever since the upgrade i have had no updates, when before they were pushin updates every few days
particular reasons?

I was wondering the same thing.
Apparently one person has been getting updates:

strange. it seems like they would push a LOT of updates after the release

Maybe there are no updates for the packages that you have installed.

Exactly wrong.....
They push lots of updates RIGHT BEFORE the release........

if you notice he has pre-released updates checked, i went and checked this and came up with 56 updates. before i had none.

go into synaptic, settings, repositories, updates, and check "pre-released updates" and see how many you get.

I have just assumed that the devs are still at the after-party on the Riviera and that they'll return soon with hang-overs and full in-boxes.

yeh, its gonna take a bit to get some bugreports generated, but it will have updates soon enough...
but in a way this is a good thing, no big ultra superupdates to deal with right away unlike XP

He never said that he had "pre-released" selected.

I asked Forrest about this and he said he double checked and that he did have pre-released checked:

I think we're all on the same page. No updates at this point so far.
