I just did a fresh wipe & install on a old gateway desktop i had. I downloaded the iso and installed the newest ubuntu server edition.
It installed just fine and then I prompted it:
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop
I wanted to get a GUI on it because I dislike working strictly with command prompts cause I'm lazy.
Well - it went thru, did all the downloads and stuff, then it came to this:
Setting up scrollkeeper (0.3.14-15unbuntu1) ...
Rebuilding the database. This may take some time.
Then it brought up an error after a few moments.
///usr/share/gnome/help/blackjack/el/blackjack.xml:402: parser error : Entity 'B (then like 6 diamonds?)' not defined
<para><quimenuitem>(bunch of diamonds and goofy characers);</gui ^
Then it just hangs there until I have to manually reboot. I can type stuff in but no commands work or anything.
Any idea what I can do to fix this? I just want to get the gui on here.
