Hey, i'm new to Linux. iv had it installed on my computer from my brother. iv asked him twice because i have had to reinstall windows. i really want to learn how to install it being able to dual boot myself . but I'm afraid of messing up my computer. i have a Ubuntu Linux CD, v7.10. i think i need to download grub though. if i do can someone send me a link to where to download it and how to put it on a flash drive. i really don't want to screw up my computer again. but please help. i really want to get into Linux because i know its better in a lot of ways except not being able to use some programs as easy like games.

You do not need to download grub. Grub will be installed when you install gusty. Are you planning on installing ubuntu as a dual boot on your computers hardrive or are you looking at install ubuntu onto a usb stick?
