i download ubuntu because my little brother screws vista up, xp does not have drivers wen i install for certain devices like network adapters so no internet ok fine so all i need to do is dload ubuntu from site chuck of flash drive put on the computer right? wrong
"ubuntu requires an inter net connection"
"?!?!? well screw you then" i say
why do i need one? i need ubuntu to start the devices its a never ending cycle of GRR WTFness.

so i suppose what im trying to say is help??

Have you tried plugging in an ethernet cable? I've never had a problem getting a wired connection during installation.

Better yet; get a router that provides you with DHCP at boot an a dynamic IP
