Gentoo installation stuck at GenKernal

I am trying to install Gentoo on my PowerPC.... It seems as if its....stuck. It did not finish the command I gave it....how do I fix this without restarting the computer and doing the whole installation ALL over again?

you won't have to do the installation all over again if you reboot. Just mount /proc and /dev and chroot back in again. Then run genkernel again
