Student Guide and Instructor Guide .pdf's Torrent please!

I am in Cambodia and I have been trying to download the Student Guide and Instructor Guide for Desktop Training. I cannot use wget nor right click save target as. A torrent would be ideal because they are 70 meg or so.

I think a lot of us on limited bandwidth would appreciate this!

I have been trying for more than a week to get these pdf's. I am on crappy wimax that drops in and out in Cambodia.

Is there no way that somebody(Canonical for example) could not put this on a torrent.

Googling around I see that some guys in India are having the same problem.

Please make a torrent for people in the developing world.

Thanks. I believe they are under a Creative Commons Licence. But best to check we are correct with Ubuntu Community Rules.

I think a torrent will help anybody with a slow internet connection.

I have a web server and extra bandwidth if give me a how to and I will be able to help as well. I have now idea how to bit torrent I only download it last week

Linking to a torrent is not specifically against the rules. Just make sure that the material you are linking to or distributing is licensed in a way that allows for redistribution. Some Creative Commons licenses -- but not all -- allow for this. As long as you are not violating the license, you are not violating the rules of this forum.

Awesome, thanks. I read it and it allows it to be shared, so i would assume a torrent is perfectly fine. That being said, if the person that actually owns it wants me to remove the torrent, I'll happily comply. Just trying to help some guys out in another country :)

It is the Training Team from Canonical who developed it. I think that Mark Shuttleworth would likely support it given his commitment to supporting education in the developing countries. Broadband is more like dialup here.

I plan to drop off a copy of the .pdf to the Khmer OS people. www.khmeros.info

They are a non-profit who does localisation of unicode. They are big on opensource and even developed a Open Source Textbook that is being used in High Schools based on OpenSuse 10.2

Thanks mate! Soon I will be able to teach my Khmer wife how to use Ubuntu in a structured way. I am going to make a point of dropping the .pdf's over to the KhmerOS people too.
