I've been using Ubuntu for a few months now, and thought I'd have a dabble with KDE. So I thought I'd download and install Kubuntu Hardy KDE4 edition.

But I so miss my Compiz :( . I've managed to get Compiz working, but it gives me what I assume to be the crappy KDE3 window decorations. How do I have all the effects associated with Compiz (wobbly windows etc) but still keep the KDE4 window decorations?

The only way I can do it, is to use emerald as the window decorator, and install an oxygen theme such as this one (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/BC+RealOxy+-+Oxygen+for+Emerald?content=78057&PHPSESSID=e85c4cfc447e3d8494cc8523cf1b33ce).

So Compiz can't and doesn't support KDE4's window decorations at this time? Ho hum... :(

I too have the same problem. I do not want the window decoration to be crappy like in kde3...

Why use compiz with kde4.1? Kwin has wobbly windows and a lot of other effects.

Desktop cube :-)... and lot of animation and some how I find the scaling to effects smoother in compiz compared to kde 4.1 effects.
