Hi all, I am getting ready to upgrade from 7.10 to 8.04, however my internet connection at home is not the fastest, so I'm worried that that direct network upgrade might not go as planned. I downloaded the 8.04 alternate ISO the other night, are there any disadvantages to using the ISO to do the upgrade vs the network upgrade?

No quite opposite. If you have CD and something goes wrong you can allways do fresh install. If you donīt have separate home partition make it. (http://psychocats.s465.sureserver.com/ubuntu/separatehome)Be connected to the net during upgrade.

Cool thanks, I do have a separate home partition all ready so it looks like I'm ready to get start
