Hi I've just performed a fresh install of Ubuntu 8.10.
I had my home folders on a separate partition. I entered the same user name during installation as I had previously and seem to have all my documents and setting fine. I didn't see an option to do the same for other users during install.
Did I miss this? because now when I try to recreate the others user accounts it says that folders with the same name already exist and to choose a different name.
How can I recreate these user accounts now? All their data is still there and I also have a complete backup of my system before the upgrade if I need to find any password files or similar from that.

ps I upgraded from 32 bit 7.10 to 64 bit 8.04 but that shouldn't have had a bearing on this I don't think
