I'm looking for a way to automatically change the Gnome cursor when I rotate my Thinkpad into tablet mode, like in Vista (the cursor changes from an arrow to a crosshair-like icon for easier tapping with the stylus).

Is there any way to do this without restarting X? I just need a command or script that will change the primary cursor according to the orientation of the screen.

Any thoughts? Thanks much.
