My login Window app under System|Administration does not load. When chosen, the disk simply goes into overdrive trying to load the applet. I have to shut down the system to stop it.
This is a fresh install of Hardy Heron amd64 on a 1 year old HP dv9297ea that has been running 7.04 and 7.10 without issues.
Only this time, I used the alternate disc image to be able to use lvm and dmcrypt. My /, /boot and /usr are not dmcrypted, but they do have their own lv's. Don't know if lvm is the issue or if this is a general problem. I do not think the drive is faulty.
