Dear fellow Ubuntuists,
In an effort to get my office to know Ubuntu as well as open source applications, I have offered to do the layout for our upcoming study that will be sent to the printer.
I hope I have not bitten off more than I can chew. I intend to do the layout on Ubuntu and using Scribus.
I have basic knowledge of Scribus and have worked my way through some tutorials.
If anyone is experienced in Desktop Publishing I would really appreciate any help and tips.
Basically, the study is comprised of 120 pages, right now it is in Word format. I would like to give it a good layout and send it off to a printer.
The design will be kept simple, there is a cover page already and the whole thing will be done in handbook form. The text will be laid out in 2 column format.
If any experienced users would have some time to help me out I would really appreciate it as I have never done this before.
Thanks!
