Hi,

I've seen a couple of interesting posts in Planet Gnome about things the devs want to do with Clutter: you can find some examples here (http://www.gnome.org/~csaavedra/eog-cluttr.ogg) and here (http://macslow.thepimp.net/clips/gdm-face-browser-2.ogg).

Those sure are cool, but what exactly is Clutter and how does it allow for these nifty effects? Can we expect to see that kind of stuff all over the desktop?

OpenGL accelerated GDM? I've been waiting for something like that for a long time. :D
Looks like some good stuff. I would like to know more about it as well.

Ah-ha! I was right. It's some type of OpenGL acceleration for GUIs.

The Entertainer project is using it for it's UI too.

It has nothing to do with acceleration; it's a graphics library that utilizes OpenGL.
