Hi, I downloaded Hardy Heron and wanted to give it a go on my laptop, an Everex SA2053T, today. I pop it in, choose "Try from CD without making changes", and it's going fine. The scroll bar moves back and forth a bit, then it freezes. No errors, no indication of anything, just stops and sits there as long as the computer does. I waited a couple of minutes, restarted, and did the check CD validity option, came out clean. I popped it into my desktop, worked fine.

My question is how can I enter a verbose mode to see what it's sticking on to get more help? I don't particularly want to just straight up install it when it doesn't work in Live CD mode.

Thanks!

The Live CD doesn't like your hardware. Try the Alternate CD.

I'll just update this. I was searching to see whether the wireless chipset with the laptop was Linux-friendly, I stumbled across this page (http://www.poplarware.com/everexlinux.html) which is very helpful for this particular model, and this linked page (http://www.fitzenreiter.de/averatec/index-e.htm) which has a torrent that includes the settings so that LiveCD is enabled.
