OS - Ubuntu 8.04 LTS (Hardy Heron) 64-bit
Wireless Card - Intel Pro Wireless 3945

Hello there. I'm here because I'm having a problem with my wireless connection. See, I can connect fine to everywhere except for my school's network, which is password protected by a 64-bit hex key. This seems to be an isolated case, as I can connect to most any other wireless network, passworded or not, without any problems. However, just to be sure, I've consulted with a few, more Linux-savvy, friends of mine and the current goal to is to switch from the iwl3945 driver to ipw3945 driver and see if that does anything. So far I've downloaded the ipw3945-1.2.0.tgz package to my desktop and unpackaged it... but that's as far as I've gotten. lol.

So... what do I do next?

Have you checked out this thread? It will not tell you how to get the ipw drivers to work, but it might help you solve your current problem.
