ok when i try to load ubuntu it goes to buzy box.
after adding irqpoll it does the same thing.
looking around somebody said to type "cat /casper.log" this tells me that it can not mount because i went into hibernate mode. that is dead wrong because xp has refused to go in standby or hibernate for a while.
if you want i can upload casper.log (assuming it is availible from windows)
