I spent last night attempting to do the windows based install on my PC - I was going to do the "Install from Windows" thing because I have done that with 7.10 using that Wubi thing. So I did it with 8.04 with the option on the CD when you insert it within Windows - it does its thing, reboots, go through some menus and installation, I see the Hardy Heron background and I have a mouse, it reboots, now I can pick Vista or Ubuntu. I pick ubuntu, then it proceeds and I get some error about nothing being able to find something or something like that (at work right now don't know the error) and yeah it didn't work :(
