Update manager

Hi All,

I have had a problem for a week or so and now it is quite bad. That being update manager doesn't update. I'm told I can run a partial upgrade but then it gives an error message stating there is an "Error authenticating some packages"

I have had this before on and off and hasn't been an issue of any note. Now I have 182 packages that wont upgrade.

A bit of help getting the old girl going again please.

Perhaps try changing the repos to point to another mirror?

If you can't resolve the problem as suggested by therage, try what I did.

I was also getting a similar message, then a fail when attempting a partial upgrade. I then went into Synaptic, had a look at what was upgradeable, then did it file by file. A long and drawn out process (especially if, like me, you're on dial-up), but my system was soon up-to-date, and am now running Hardy problem free.
