Ubuntu all messed up

Hey everyone
am using Hardy and all of a sudden appeared numerous problems
1- RSS in firefox disappeared and firefox can't seem to remember any password i saved before
2- Emesene forgot my login details also and when i type them and connect, i cnt see any contacts and pops up a window saying that there is fault
3- When i press on the red button "Shutdown" the upper and bottom toolbars disappear and nth happens and i can't reboot or anyth, i have to hard reboot "From the case"
4- Many times the background just get replaced by a black screen, not a background but a black screen wid no icons or anyth.

To determine whether it is a user configuration issue, or a system wide issue, create a new user and login through that new user. See whether it behaves normally. Of course it will not remember settings from earlier user but problem 3 and 4 might get fixed.

In case they are fixed something is messed up only in your home directory and you can try copying over your configuration files one by one and hopefully get an almost completely configured system.


Otherwise it is a system wide issue and we will tackle it later.

wierd thing happened !
i opened it again now and everyth is back to normal!!
i ddnt try to fix anything, it's just fixed :D
