Hello,

Is there a way to assign different commands to the "F" keys?
It would be nice to be able to use the F keys as "paste" for different things one copies.
As an example I copy "Hi" to F1, "My" to F2, "name is" to F3 and "Robert" to F4

Then I would just have to press F1 - F4 to make "Hi My name is Robert"

Where I now work (using Win XP) I have to type many things over and over again on different boxes, such as different dates. It would be much easier and more efficient assigning the dates to the F keys and press them in the right place.

So is it possible in Ubuntu and/or Windows?
