Hello! If some of you could try out one of my recently launched projects and provide some feedback, I'd sincerely appreciate it. It's SatelliteSights.com (http://www.satellitesights.com) (a community-driven satellite image sightseeing project). Feedback areas:
-Design elements
-Layout
-Navigation
-Searching and browsing for images.
-Layout and information presented in a post.
-Content (Wordage, instructions, etc.)
MOST IMPORTANTLY, if a few of you would mind signing up and trying out the "Post a New Satellite Image" interface, I would be eternally grateful. I worry that it might be too complicated or non-intuitive.
Any comments, positive or negative, would be awesome! I would be more than happy to return the favor if you are ever in similar circumstances.

The right side of the header should line up with your RH body div. As I see it, the RH body div (whatever you call it -has recent sights, and latest news) is 3/4 inch indented to the left of the blue top header.
Your footer has an unusual gap between the links ending with "Advertising" and "Text and design Copyright".
I like the colors, the style, and overall look and feel.

As Atomic Dog pointed out, you need to properly space out your columns. Having them right up against each other gives it a cluttered feel.
Also, the "sights posted" counter shouldn't be where it is. It kind of perceptually squeezes the login fields against the nav bar. I'm not sure at this point as to what a better place for it would be, due to the columns not being spaced right.
But if you fix those two things, I think it would look fairly good.

Do Not Use Tables For Layout!

He's using tables? I assumed he was using div tags and a CSS. Oh lordy, he really needs to ditch using tables.

Definitely. Using tables for your layout will give you hallucinations and flashbacks of uglier times. Though you did surprisingly well considering you were using tables. But as Atomic Dog sort of implied, use <div> tags and CSS to render the page. You'll appreciate it in the long run.

Thanks for the suggestions thus far.
I definitely hate using tables as well, but we ran into some early on problems with divs in IE. We're currently working on an alternative layout that's tableless that will be rolled out in the next few weeks.

Thanks for all the design comments, but any regarding functionality, navigation, or content?

What's wrong with tables? I don't find them that hard to work with...
EDIT: I guess this is why: http://davespicks.com/essays/notables.html

Ahhh! No tables please! Learn to use CSS with DIVs. Try htmldog.com ;)
Also, the left looks like it's popping out of the layout...

Yes, I understand the tables issue and it is being worked on.
Any non-design feedback would be highly appreciated (navigation, functionality, content, etc)
