I'm installing hardy 8.04 from a live CD graphic install tool, the process is still saying 15% complete it's been over an hour how long do I wait before I try again? THANKS

It better for you to check the CD for defects (MD5 hash), usually - with that span of time waiting, you should be running/experimenting/browsing the web with your Hardy System by now.

Yeah, it's probably a CD error.

Honestly (right now I'm frustrated with Hardy, so take it with a grain of salt), I wouldn't even check the checksum, I would just throw the CD out of your window.

Good, just don't be discouraged on people giving negative posts about Hardy. Give it a try on yourself first before believing in them.

Suggestion: If you did have a wrong MD5 hash, try burning it at a lower speed.

I'm trying to install to a old PC. Pentium 3, 190 MB ram, 20GB hard drive. I can run successfully off the live CD but the install fails. Is the machine to small/old? Should I try the light version of Ubuntu?
