Having just got the new 64 bit one installed, it occurred to me that:
1. It was released as usual on the correct day, not years late.
2. It arrived with the planned features in there.
3. It was faster than the previous version.
4. It would run on much lower spec hardware than I already have.
5. It has wider hardware support than the previous version.
I wonder if any other operating system companies have considered this approach?
