Dual Monitor Window Behavior

Is there any way to remember the window position of a program so that when it starts up, it does so on my second monitor??? All I want is firefox to start up maximed on my second monitor but regardless of the previous open position it always starts on the primary monitor, it's the same with any other program.

I am running nvidia twinview in Ubuntu 8.04.

I can confirm the behavior. It wasn't doing that with 7.10... or I guess, It wasn't doing that with Firefox 2.0...

The firefox window opens on the primary screen, but actually switch on the second screen. Nautilus is acting normally. I'll search more on the firefox side.
