multiple desktop

ive gone into advanced desktop settings(HARDY)and have tried to increase the desktops to 4 so that i can use the cube effect but it keeps changing back to 1 which i guess is default.How can i get this to work?

Could you tell me where is the advanced desktop setting you were saying? Have you try to right click on the workspace and increase the number?
