Hi,

Since I had a lot of problems installing Feisty on my HP dv2000, I want try a test install first, without destroying anything on my system.

I don't have any spare partitions, so I'd like to try installing and booting from a USB drive. I have the amd64 desktop ISO downloaded and burnt on a CD.

I looked at a couple of threads about USB drives but nothing that seems appropriate (or maybe I'm just too preoccupied by other things simultaneously to interpret the information correctly).

Has anyone done this? If so, how did you do it? What were your results? What instructions did you follow?

Thanks,

L
