Trying to install Ubuntu 8,4 on HDD

Hi,

I'm trying to install Ubuntu 8,4 on my MSI Turion 64 Laptop.
The liveCD version is working fine but I'm unable to install it on my Harddrive.

When I start the instalation it works until it copies the files on the HD up to 51% then I get an error message saying there's a problem with the CD drive.

I checked the CD and found no error , I checked the ISO file and found no error and I reburnt the ISO file on anonther CD on low speed.

But nothing helped...

Can somebody help me?

I would suggest you try the alternate CD. It is a text based installation but more stable the the Live CD.
