Do you guys like to start from scratch with some of your config files when moving between versions?

After the Gutsy to Hardy upgrade, I'm tempted to start from scratch on my gnome and firefox configs because the versioning is different.

I'm always tempted to start over with my config files because I'm worried that they might be handled a little differently between versions. There might be settings that are no longer used, there might be settings that change new defaults which might be optimal, etc.

I picture a single config file getting pretty messy, even damaged, after a number of upgrades.
