Hello,

I'm planning to do a dualboot with Vista ultimate(has been installed for quite a while) and ubuntu 8.04.

I can boot with the live cd, and I can get through the install.
However after removing the cd and turning the pc on again I get the normal windows bootscreen. (still have a broken xp x64 that I need to remove).

I did a manual partitioning since I had some free hdd space left that I hadn't assigned.
I made two partitions, one / that got 20 gig and one swap that got 4 gig.

I installed 8.04 without problems on my laptop with the same cd.

My computer hardware:
Asus p5k
Intel e6300
Saphire 1950Pro
4 x 1 gig ram (800 Mhz)
Linksys WMP300N
1 x 500 gig hdd(partitioned)
1 x 250 gig hdd for data

Just tried fdisk /mbr and after that a new install but it did nothing. (well messed up an exe of my vista install but that was fixed with inserting the vista dvd and repair).
