Firstly of all, I had a quite a difficult installation of ubumtu 8.04, managed to get around it, by disabling the acpi
Ok, it didnt go well either, but when I tried the live CD, I installed the OS from there, seeing that it was working ok
Having now rebooted the system the loading bar has now "stuck", restarted the computer, and proceeded to edit the grub mP4anager with the line at the end "acpi=false"
