Hi,

I'm going to try something that might screw up my ubuntu installation (at least it did so last time) and I don't want to reinstall it yet again.

I'm trying to get my fakeraid running using dmraid.

But before I'm trying that I want to backup the system files necessary to boot from disk again after dmraid screws around and places me in the busybox permanently.

So, what do I need to backup or what program makes backing up the necessary files easy ?

Cheers!

Thanks, I did it with partimage. And good idea I did, because dmraid killed ubuntu like I feared it would.

Let's hope I get a solution for that bugger.

Thanks!
