View Full Version : [all variants] Edubuntu stole my Ubuntu

Well, this is annoying.

I downloaded and installed "normal" ubuntu and that's how it originally started. Later installed a few downloads via add/remote.

Now my startup and shutdown say I've got edubuntu, which I really don't want to see (since it's not what I did).

How can I change it back to being Ubuntu (and no, I don't care if all the softare on the system is the same whether I change or not)?

I saw that and it fixed the startup and shutdown screens, but not the logon screen, which is still screwed up.

It's a shame that the ubuntu downloads and updates even mess with this stuff at all.

Nonetheless, i need to change this back.

the logon screen has it's own option under System>Administration>Login Window

just pick which ever you want from there
