FTP and nautilus OpenDialog Problem 8.04

Hi Guys! Couple days a go I upgrade from 7.10 to 8.04 :) but so far I'm having problems to open an ftp address from any OpenDialog in nautilus, before I could write the address as: ftp://username@mysite.com, I can open it directly in nautilus, but if I go to gedit and OpenDialog seems is not working, does anybody happen to know what could the problem?

I'm experiencing exactly the same problem in gnome 2.26 in ubuntu 9.04!
Open => type ftp adres in location and click enter does nothing.
How to fix?
