I'm running 8.04 on an Alienware Aurora m9700 laptop.
When I go to Places > Computer, it shows one of my internal disks (the C: drive, in Windows), but not my newer (and larger) G: drive, which is where most of my important things are.
It's a Hitachi HTS722020K9A300 ATA device, according to it's properties in Vista. It's on channel 1, formatted in NTFS.
Thank you.
Edit:
Figured it out. Since I installed through Wubi, I was able to find it in the hosts file.
