When using the Hardy Heron's Live CD, I'm trying to resize the WINXP partition so I can install Ubuntu next and dual boot:popcorn:.

The procedure ends in frustration when Gparted analyses the disk and dictaminates that it couldn't resize the partition because "THERE'S AT LEAST ONE BAD SECTOR" Gparted then prompts me to run Checkdisk in Windows (at least twice, I did it thrice) to try to repair the bad sectors (if any) I did it, but I still can't resize the damn partition :(.

Windows seems to work fine.. no sign of bad sectors... but I can't install Ubuntu! Any ideas out there?
