Getting Sound to work on Serval Performance

My sister bought a Serval Performance, model number is FL92.

I had to reinstall the OS and after re-installation, loading the System76 drivers, and rebooting the sound didnt work. I found an easy solution which fixed it.......... I was able to get the sound to work by enabling the backports in the software sources. Check it out, very easy to fix :) Hope it helps someone in the future!

The "If you are going to upgrade to Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron you will notice that it will want to remove the linux-backports-modules package. This is OK. Doing so will not affect your sound since it now works out of the “box” with 8.04." notice sounds better though :)
