I've tried Kubuntu twice so far, and it's the same problem that made me run back to Ubuntu both times.
When I go to install a new application, most of the time I'll get a dialogue box that says something like another package manager thing is running. However, I can never figure out what IS running. Some people have said that Kubuntu has something running in the background that's doing this. If someone can tell me how to fix this problem I'll probably give Kubuntu another try.
