I have decided to reinstall my Win XP/Ubuntu dualboot and need some help. I have three internal HDDs and one external HDD (750 GB). I want to reinstall or repair my windows install and reinstall (clean install) my Ubuntu. I don't have an internal dvd rom. I only have an external one. Is this going to be a problem? Or is it just to make a backup of everything and then choose the clean install option from the windows XP disc and leave enough room for the Ubuntu partition. My main concern is of course if my machine can handle the external dvd rom during a reinstall??
