View Full Version : [kubuntu] kde-guidance issues in Hardy?

I am currently testing the KDE 4 REMIX for an informal self-review of the operating system and so far I like what I see. It is crash prone, but that's my fault for picking it up at 4.0x line.

I do have a strange issue, I installed the packaged "kde-guidance" to add mount configuration, monitor & display, etc. to my System Settings menu. After doing so they still do not show up.

I can run the programs from the command line, but I'd rather the modules being loaded in system settings. I think it has something to do with pathnames for kde3 being used by kde-guidance... I tried moving some of the /usr/share/applications/kde "*.desktop" items to /usr/share/applications/kde4.

Unfortunately I'm a gnome man, so I'm kind of confused about paths here.

Any assistance is appreciated.
