View Full Version : Ubuntu Love Day - What is it?

October 16th, 2005, 12:21 AM
Hi all,

Someone pointed me that there will be a week of conferences in Montréal by the end of October and the begining of November. Since I'm not a developer nor an active member of Ubuntu community, I may not go to them, but I saw that "Ubuntu Love Day" on Oct. 30th.

I see there is not so much information about what will be this "Ubuntu Love Day". I've done some search, but didn't found anything really useful. Apart of this topic by Benjamin Mako Hill (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=59437&highlight=october+30+ubuntu+love+day) and this wiki page (http://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuBelowZero), and these page don't give a lot of information.

Does anybody know a bit more about this "Ubuntu Love Day"? It is aimed at the community, but what will be discussed here? Is it a presentation of what Ubuntu is, its philosophy, its future, its objectives, have test computers so everyone could test the distro, etc.? Does it cost money to be present at this day?

Thanks :)
