So I'm having a whole host of problems with Hardy.
First off, the cpu is running at above 90% if I have firefox open, even if it's just one tab.
Two, I tried downloading VLC, among others, using Add/Remove, and it tells me it can't install and to use synaptic to resolve the problem. But it doesn't say what the problem is.
Three, video playback is super slow. Flash video works okay, anything else plays at about one frame every two seconds, with no sound.
Finally, it wont play mp3s. It doesn't say anything like "can't play file," it just doesn't do anything. The song loads and thats it.
Any help would be grand.
