View Full Version : [ubuntu] Raid array and install problems

Hey,

I'm using the hardy heron alternate install cd to install ubuntu to a RAID 0 array.

I have set the software raid up in the install for my two hard drives, and the installer manages to install all the files onto the array, but the setup fails when it installs GRUB onto the array.

I get this message:

Unable to install GRUB in (hd0)
Executing 'grub-install (hd0)' failed.

This is a fatal error.

I also tried to install LILO, but I received an error message.

Can anyone help me out with this,
