The synaptic system is REAL SLOW since I installed the 8.04 Ubuntu yesterday. The beta worked fine. What am I doing wrong. All features are the default ones. Is there some setting that I need to tweak? My browser works great-speedwise. But, the update just sits there and says dwonload rate unknown. I love Ubuntu and I know that it is fixable.
