A few days ago I installed XFCE 4.4.2 from a .run file i got from www.xfce.org. (This was before the release of 8.04). I stayed up late that night painfully watching the time decrease very slowly lol. I fell asleep about 2.30am (this is besides the point)... but yea... i woke up the next day to find it had errored installing the xfce4 mixer. Anyways i got annoyed and tried to fix it... but nothing would work. So then when 8.04 was released i decided i would upgrade to that HOPING that it would reinstall xfce fully and properly. Buuuutt.... it didnt :( Most of the settings from "Applications -> Settings" are missing. The desktop doesnt have any icons on it and as the desktop settings is missing i cant change anything on it. Ive tried using "Alt + F2 -> xfdesktop" and "Alt + F2 -> xfce-mcs-manager" but it didnt do anything. Im just wondering how i can reinstall these specific packages without having to do a full reinstall.

Thanks for any help in advance
