Hello Tosh got a Toshiba, then don't bother trying to use Linux....
Why are Toshiba still sucking up to Bill Gates, and stuffing up my preferred choice of OS.
I've done quite a bit of reading on this, and I may not be very Linux savvy, but I can follow instructions and I'm still unable to get the sound working on my Satellite L30-134.
Its the exact same Realtec HD Audio device as my old man has on his desktop and that works out of the box. So why oh why wont it work on this piggin laptop?
Ive checked alsa and no devices are muted, Ive updated the kernel and installed the alsa updates, typed in loads of commands and few other things and still nothing. I though this might have been fixed with the new Hardy distro but it seems Toshiba are still hanging about (as usual).
Ive done a fresh install, any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Found a solution to the audio and display, still getting artefact in the display though....
