if you wait, a native client will be out at some point in the near future.
it's possible that ss2 won't work in cedega until 5.0, so either way you're gonna have to wait heh.

Just unzip this http://files.seriouszone.com/download.php?fileid=1190 and play when you moved over your files from the cd

How is this dead http://files.filefront.com/ss+linuxbeta+rc+2+1+publictargz/;6206176;/fileinfo.html to you?

Well, my apologies then. But I've looked here:
and I've searched for terms like 'serioussam' 'serioussam2' 'serious sam 2' 'serious sam 2 AND linux' 'linuxbeta'.... all WITHOUT any result.
So I consider this 'linuxbeta' is NOT SUPPOSED to be found by anyone...
If you give links for the linuxbeta, then please use direct links like your last one, otherwise it's pretty useless, I think.

when I click on this download-link, I get the message:
Your download has failed. You have an invalid session set. Click here to try your download again.

The company's site is official and not a useless link, it's safe. :)

So, did you try any of those 'official' links lately?
For me they don't work.

Allright, I figured out that I had to fully allow cookies (set all other privacy-related settings down also) to be able to download it.
So my apologies - you were right, there IS an official download-site for Serious Sam 2. Thanks to YOUR posted internal link...
but really, I couldn't find a way to it from 'outside', when searching there for myself!
Anyway, thanks for the hint...

Some more info on running Serious Sam 2 on Linux - IN CASE the game runs on your system at all (it didn't on my system, even with an Nvidia 6800XT),
I recommend using the lokifiles-installer for your respective media-version instead of the official linux-beta,
they're VERY SIMPLE to use (point & click)!!!
