I want to help out in the absolute beginner talk sub forum but, despite my 4 years of experience (mostly with Slackware), I can’t answer most of the questions asked! WTF?

I really want to help people, but I suck.

Same here. I am unable to answer most of the questions asked around here, but I do what I can and I'm able to learn on the way.

P.S. Perhaps this should be in the Cafe since it is not a support question.

though slack has a different package management system there are a lot of general linux/ command related questions that are asked here. Sometimes having used a different distro is a good thing- it gives you a wider view and you think outside of the Ubuntu box :)
