Hi,

I've just made a clean install on my laptop of ubuntu 8.04 32 bit. I removed all my existing partitions and made a swap partition and a ext3 partition with '/' as mountpoint.
When I reboot my laptop after the installation I get this message: "Reboot and select proper Boot device or insert boot media and press a key to continue". I've removed the ubuntu cd from the drive.

I have made 2 installs but the problem keeps occurring :( I never had this problem with 7.04 and 7.10.

Any ideas?

Marty

You could try to see if super grub disk can fix it. http://www.supergrubdisk.org/index.php
