View Full Version : [ubuntu] How to stretch 1024 res to fill the screen?

Hello,

I am using Ubuntu v8.04. I am using it on a HP laptop with Nvidia. Ubuntu is installed using Wubi.

It CORRECTLY recognizes my video card and modes to 1200 resolution. NO ISSUES. If I change the res to 1024, it works PERFECTLY. NO ISSUES there too.

However in the 1024 mode, it does not stretch. It has black borders around it and the screen is centred.

Can someone please help me how to work this out? Under windows there is an option called Keep aspect ration or some such.

Is there such a thing in Ubuntu?

Any assistance appreciated.

Cheers
