Hi all. here is my problem:

i installed hardy today, all went fine, but first thing ive noticed, no sound, bue then i found out, the sound was coming out of my headphones, which are connected to the green hole at the back, and the loudspeakers are connected to some black one, that is supposed to be meant for loudspeakers. I do not intend to change those cables around as everything is fine on windows.

About the video, it prompted me to install the restricted nvidia drivers, so i did and all was fine, but when i move a window with that effect, it gets a little jumpy(which is odd assuming my card is a 8800gt)

i would love your help. thanks all =)

I have no sound either. From what I can deduct, the sound drivers are somehow linked to the graphics drivers, which I had to remove, because they acted up. If you have an nvidia graphics card, you may be having the same problem. I have not found any solution yet.
